Our mission is to ensure seniors can live fulfilling lives in their communities, with the confidence that they have access to the resources they need to thrive.

Our Story

The Seraphim Foundation for Aging was founded by mother-son duo Laverne and G.L. Wallace, driven by a shared passion for ensuring that seniors live fulfilling, empowered lives. Their combined experiences in healthcare, business, and advocacy shaped a nonprofit committed to supporting older adults with the resources they need to thrive.

Together, LaVerne and G.L. formed the Seraphim Foundation for Aging to ensure seniors receive the support they need to live independently, actively, and with dignity. Their complementary skills, life experiences, and shared values led to the creation of a nonprofit that aims to change how we view aging and to create a world where all seniors have access to the resources that help them thrive.

  • G.L. Wallace

    CO-FOUNDER

G.L. Wallace is the Executive Director of Seraphim Accessibility and Inclusion Consultants, LLC. GL believes in the importance of the shared work necessary to create both equitable and accessible environments. A PhD in anthropology, G.L. is both an expert in culture and diversity but also diversity of ability, the ways in which ability and disability are understood societally and within organizations and institutions. Prompted by his own experience as a young person with an impairment , GL seeks to support our understanding of diversity of ability, and the manner in which perceptions of diversity impact what and who can achieve. An avid tennis fan with an embarrassing serve and overly ambitious serve and volley game, GL can be found attending the U.S. Open annually and vexing his spouse, a longtime educator and public school administrator
